Stand Cold Now

Stand Cold Now,
Where do you stand friend,
Who do you look for?
Gaze down the road,
That you came from.
It's just as empty,
As the one you'll go to.

When the wind blows,
Don't you wish that,
The trees close their boughs?
That the fire would,
Burn a little more low?
To warm you some more.

Where's the body,
That stood beside you,
The one who kept you warm,
Who held your hand,
Through the lonely nights.
Where were you,
When she was pushed away?

Or was it you?
Whose hands did the pushing,
When they needed you most,
You turned her away,
When you should've not,
Stand cold now,
For that's all,
On your end.
